PM Modi’s Ayodhya Visit: Unveils Developmental projects ahead of Ram Mandir consecration ceremony

In preparation for the scheduled consecration ceremony of the Ram temple on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh last Saturday. During his visit, PM Modi announced a series of developmental projects, including the inauguration of new trains and the Ayodhya Dham Railway Station. A roadshow was conducted from the airport to the railway station, where the Prime Minister interacted with a large crowd that had gathered along the route, responding to their greetings by waving and even opening his car door at one point.

The Prime Minister, amidst the enthusiastic reception, extended his greetings to the public, who reciprocated by showering flower petals, waving BJP flags, and chanting slogans in his honor. The visit also marked the inauguration of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham, with a terminal building covering 6,500 sqm, capable of accommodating approximately 10 lakh passengers annually.

Highlighting a significant allocation of funds, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects amounting to over ₹15,700 crore. Of this, ₹11,100 crore is earmarked for the development of Ayodhya and its environs, while the remaining ₹4,600 crore is allocated for various projects across Uttar Pradesh. Notable attendees during the ceremonies included Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and other dignitaries accompanying the Prime Minister.
