PM to inaugurate the 9th P20 summit

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 9th Parliamentary Speakers Summit (P20) of G20 at Yasobhoomi, New Delhi around 11 am today. The summit is being hosted by the Parliament of Indian under the broader framework of India’s G20 summit. The of this 9th P20 summit is “Parliament for One Earth, One Family, One Future”.

Speakers of the parliaments of G20 countries will participate in this conference. But according to the information, the Speaker of the Senate of Canada will not attend the P20 meeting due to the increasing diplomatic dispute between India and Canada in recent times. The Pan-African Parliament will take part in the P20 Summit for the first time after the African Union became a member of G20 at the New Delhi G20 Leaders’ Summit on 9-10 September 2023.

Actually the P20 summit has started on Thursday. But the main event is today and tomorrow i.e. on 13th October and 14th October. On the first day of the conference, several programs will be organized on the theme of Parliamentary Forum on Life. The main theme of this conference has been kept as Parliament for One Earth, One Family, One Future. Let us tell you, these programs have been finalized under the leadership of Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

The thematic sessions during this P20 Summit will focus mainly on four subjects. Transformation in People’s Lives through Public Digital Platforms, Women-led development, Accelerating SDGs and Sustainable Energy Transition are the four areas of discussion.
