President Draupadi Murmu has appointed new governors for ten states and a new Lieutenant Governor for the Union Territory of Puducherry. Laxman Prasad Acharya is now the Governor of Assam and will also handle additional responsibilities as the Governor of Manipur. Previously, he served as the Governor of Sikkim. Om Prakash Mathur, a senior BJP leader, has replaced Acharya as the Governor of Sikkim.
Gulab Chand Kataria has been named the new Governor of Punjab, succeeding Banwarilal Purohit, who resigned from the position. CP Radhakrishnan has taken over as the Governor of Maharashtra. Radhakrishnan, who was previously the Governor of Jharkhand, also managed additional responsibilities as the Governor of Telangana.

Former Union Minister Satash Kumar Gangwar has been appointed the Governor of Jharkhand, while Jishnu Dev Burma, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, is the new Governor of Telangana. Harivansh Narayan Singh, a senior BJP leader from Maharashtra, has been appointed the Governor of Rajasthan, replacing Kalraj Mishra.

Former Assam Lok Sabha MP Ramen Deka is the new Governor of Chhattisgarh, succeeding Vishwabhushan Harichandan. C.H. Vijayashankar, a former Lok Sabha MP from Mysuru, Karnataka, has been appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya. K Kailashnath, a former IAS officer, has been appointed the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. He previously served as Principal Secretary to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and resigned from that position on June 30.
