Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Odisha today to attend the Migrant Indian Conference at Bhubaneswar’s Janata Maidan. He will officially inaugurate the conference tomorrow. Ahead of his visit, the Prime Minister shared details about the event on social media platform X.
Bhubaneswar is buzzing with activity as preparations are in full swing to welcome Indian nationals from over 70 countries. The state government has lined up a variety of programs and events to entertain the guests while showcasing Odisha’s art, culture, and traditions.
A 5-day flower exhibition at Ekamra Park is one of the highlights, with the Cactus House as a key attraction. Simultaneously, the Park Festival in the capital features music fountains, laser shows, and exhibits of Odisha’s art, literature, and cultural heritage.
The state museum will remain open until 9 PM during the event, with nine new galleries launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. These include displays of Odisha’s ivory art, zoology, mining and geology, handicrafts, and tribal culture.
To ensure seamless transportation, the Chief Minister also launched an e-bus service for migrants. This includes five double-decker buses, 10 hop-on-hop-off buses, and 25 Srimandir administration buses to facilitate travel.
Cultural festivities are in full swing with the Rajarani Music and Dance Festivals at Rajarani Temple and the Folk Dance Festival at the State Museum, running until January 11. Additionally, the tribal fair at the Exhibition Grounds offers immigrants an immersive experience of Odisha’s tribal art and culture.
This grand event underscores the state’s commitment to strengthening its connection with the Indian diaspora and promoting Odisha as a hub of art, heritage, and tourism.
