Shiva Kumar Gautam Admits Waiting Outside Hospital After Shooting Baba Siddiqui

After shooting former minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, the main accused, Shiva Kumar Gautam, waited for 30 minutes outside the hospital to determine whether Siddiqui had died. During police interrogation, Shiva Kumar admitted to this. He had changed his shorts immediately after the crime and then waited outside Lilavati Hospital for half an hour. Upon hearing that Siddiqui’s condition was critical, he fled the scene.

The shooting occurred on October 12 at 9:00 PM in Bandra, Mumbai, when the assailants fired six rounds at Siddiqui, despite the presence of Y-Plus security. Two bullets struck Siddiqui in the chest, and doctors rushed him to Lilavati Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The police suspect the Lawrence Bishnoi gang orchestrated the murder. So far, officers have arrested 13 members of the gang. Last Sunday, police captured the main accused, Shiva Kumar Gautam, as he tried to flee to Nepal through Uttar Pradesh. The Mumbai Crime Branch, in coordination with the Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF), tracked phone calls and messages, leading to the arrest of Shiva Kumar and four of his associates as they were planning their escape to Nepal.
