Stranded Odia Pilgrims Airlifted from Kedarnath, Headed Home

Four Odia individuals who had been stranded in Kedarnath are now safely on their way back to Odisha. The group, consisting of Rushibar Mahant from Kemsada village in Keonjhar Sadar police station area, Maheshwar Pradhan from Telkoi police station area, Kartik Khilar, and Zabananda Sahu, became trapped on July 31 due to landslides that led to road closures.

The Uttarakhand administration quickly mobilized a rescue operation, and the pilgrims were airlifted to Uttarkashi before being transported to Rishikesh. They are now traveling home by train, and their families have expressed immense relief at their safe return.
