Tension Grips Dharamasala After Attack on BJP MLA Himanshu Sahu

Tension escalated in Dharamsala following the attack on BJP leader and MLA Himanshu Sahu last night. Police swiftly launched an investigation, forming three teams to track down the culprits. They detained six suspects for questioning but have yet to release any conclusive details.

Throughout the night, police combed various locations in search of the accused. To prevent further unrest, authorities deployed a police force outside Jajpur Town Police Station. ADG Law and Order, Sanjay Kumar, arrived in Jajpur to oversee the situation. Sensitive areas under Jajpur Sadar and Town Police Stations are under constant surveillance, with reports confirming that the situation is now under control.

Himanshu alleged that supporters of Bobby Das attacked him at Bushughat Street in Jajpur, claiming the assault was a premeditated attempt to target him politically. He accused Mari Bai of orchestrating the attack and revealed that Bobby’s brother, Lal Das, called him after the incident, urging a compromise.

Bobby Das condemned the attack, stating that violence has no place in politics. He called on the administration to take strict action against the attackers and assured full cooperation with the investigation. Addressing allegations about his brother’s involvement, Bobby said, “I have instructed my brother to go to the police station and cooperate fully. If he is guilty, action should be taken against him.”

As investigations continue, police remain vigilant to maintain law and order in the area.
