
If you use Delhi Metro daily, then there is great news for you. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced to provide the service of ticket booking system in partnership with instant messaging app WhatsApp.
Now you will not have to stand in lines for tickets at the metro station, you can book tickets for travel on Delhi Metro with the help of WhatsApp account in your mobile phone. You can book tickets in both Hindi and English languages
The WhatsApp-based metro ticketing system allows passengers to purchase tickets quickly and easily from their homes or workplaces. The chatbot is available in both English and Hindi. It covers all 12 metro lines and 288 metro stations of Delhi National Capital Region (NCR), including the Gurugram Rapid Metro.

How to book Delhi Metro ticket on WhatsApp?
• To book Delhi Metro tickets through WhatsApp, first send a message with the text “Hi” to +91 9650855800. Or you can also scan the QR code given at any metro station.
• After this choose your preferred language.
• Then tap on the “Buy Ticket” button visible on the screen.
• Select your station name from where you want to go and where you want to go.
• Now, you select the number of tickets. If you are single then one and if there are other people with you then accordingly.
• Review the given information and proceed to make payment.
• You will receive a link for payment.
• Once you pay for the ticket, you will receive a QR-based ticket on WhatsApp.

Keep these things in mind before getting tickets:
Whenever you book a ticket (QR code) for traveling on Delhi Metro with the help of WhatsApp, then keep some things in mind. Let us tell you that a passenger can get only a maximum of 6 QR tickets in one transaction. Ticket cancellation is not allowed when using WhatsApp Ticketing. The best part is that every QR-based metro ticket remains valid for the entire day of purchase.
Let us tell you that, ticket booking for all metro lines is available only between 6 am to 9 pm and for the Airport Line (Orange Line) from 4 am to 11 pm. A nominal convenience fee will be levied on credit/debit card transactions, while there is no convenience fee on UPI-based transactions. Note that, after entering the metro station, passengers have 65 minutes to exit.
You can also get QR-based tickets from metro station
If you do not use WhatsApp or your mobile phone is damaged, then in that case you can also get tickets for traveling by Delhi Metro from the metro station. Apart from this, Delhi Metro also provides the facility of Metro Card to make the travel easier for the passengers.
