
The University Grants Commission (UGC) regularly takes initiatives to improve the education system of the country. Meanwhile, UGC has issued a new checklist for higher education institutions. The commission released the list after analyzing the university’s website. Now every university has to update the given check list in the websites.
Many times the Students, parents, research scholars, government officials and alumni faced problems in accessing information from various university websites. Therefore, the commission has asked all the universities to work in mission mode to update the website keeping such problems in mind. The checklist mentions 11 categories. No change will be made in the preparation of admission formula. The students should be informed about the important telephone number, websites and all the information about the University.
The Universities on their website need to update about Enrollment Process, Fees and Refund Policy, Facilities, Development Plan, Cooperation, Administration, Academics, Campus Wellbeing, Foreign Cooperation, Patents, Industry Cooperation, Fellowship/Scholarship, Academic Bank of Credit, Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Group Cell, about the previous student union, the previous student coordination room etc.
