Unemployment and price rise behind security breach of Parliament : Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asserted that the recent breach of security in Parliament resulted from escalating unemployment and inflation caused by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies. Gandhi emphasized that the fundamental problem in the country is unemployment, which, according to him, stems from Modi’s strategies. The security lapse on December 13 involved individuals, reportedly distressed due to unemployment, walking through security layers and triggering smoke canisters in the Lok Sabha.

Addressing the issue on social media, Rahul questioned the lack of employment opportunities and urged a focus on job creation for the youth. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) countered Rahul Gandhi’s claims, citing a low unemployment rate and pointing to alleged connections between the intruders and Congress, TMC, and CPI(M) members.

Five individuals have been arrested, and the Delhi Police are seeking a sixth conspirator in connection with the security breach, all charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Despite no apparent common links among the suspects, they expressed intentions to raise issues like unemployment and Manipur violence in Parliament and wished to converse with PM Modi. Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh also linked the breach to unemployment, urging politicians, especially PM Modi, to reflect on the desperation that led unemployed youth to such acts on the day of the attack.
