Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for employing divisive caste politics as a desperate attempt to salvage his political relevance. Responding to Rahul’s recent caste-related comments aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Bharat Jodo Naya Yatra in Jharsuguda, Pradhan remarked that yet another falsehood from the Congress leader has been exposed. He suggested that Rahul either lacks awareness or believes in the fallacy that repetition can transform a lie into truth.
According to Pradhan, Rahul Gandhi has become a figure of mockery and amusement, as his continuous propagation of falsehoods has led to a lack of credibility. The Union Minister asserted that Rahul’s recent shift from temple visits to caste-based politics reflects his political desperation. However, Pradhan emphasized that the public remains unconvinced by the Congress party’s history of deceptive promises, such as the long-standing ‘Garibi Hatao’ slogan, which has failed to materialize over decades of rule.
Pradhan further highlighted the disconnect between Rahul Gandhi’s rhetoric and the reality of his party’s record on issues concerning marginalized communities, including Dalits, tribals, and reservations. He underscored that the populace is not swayed by the Congress’s hollow assurances, especially in contrast to Prime Minister Modi’s track record of delivering tangible results through his performance-oriented governance approach over the past decade.
