
Chakradhar Jena, a veteran Odia film actor, passed away at AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Monday, succumbing to a lung-related ailment while undergoing treatment in the ICU. His demise has elicited expressions of sorrow from figures within the Odia film fraternity.
Having graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD), Jena made his foray into the Odia film scene in 1993 with the film ‘Pathara Khasuchhi Bada Deulu’. Throughout his career, he left an indelible mark with his performances in numerous Odia movies, including ‘Mo Mana Khali Tumari Pain’, ‘Rana Bhumi’, ‘Sahara Jaluchi’, ‘Tu Mo Akhira Tara’, ‘To Bina Mo Kahani Addha’, ‘To Pain Nebi Mu Sahe Janama’, ‘Sanju Aau Sanjana’, and ‘Om Namaha Shivaya’.
