
A 22-member delegation from Vietnam reached Odisha to explore trade and investment opportunities in Odisha. A delegation from Vinh Long province of Vietnam has arrived to explore trade and investment opportunities, especially in the textile, agribusiness, engineering, chemicals and plastics sectors.
Along with this, the focus of this delegation is on developing co-operation with them in areas like higher education, health care, training, information technology and tourism.
Vietnam’s Vinh Long province, known for its technology hubs, tried to take advantage of Odisha’s diverse economic landscape for its development. The delegation expressed keen interest in a number of sectors to promote bilateral trade and attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Government of Odisha which created an environment for attractive and cooperative discussions in this meeting. He gave an in-depth presentation on the industrial ecosystem of Odisha. He also stressed the strengths of the state, potential areas of co-operation and favourable environment for investment and business development.
Nguyen, a member of the Central Standing Committee and head of the mass mobilization department of the provincial party committee in Vietnam, gave a special address. His insights provided a valuable perspective on the goals and aspirations of the Vinh Long Province delegation.
