Vigilance Raids Deputy District Collector’s Properties Over Corruption Allegations

Vigilance officials raided the residence of Kamakshanagar Deputy District Collector Narayan Chandra Naik over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.

The team conducted simultaneous raids at 10 locations, including his office and government residence. The raids extended across Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, and Dhenkanal districts. Seven DSPs, three inspectors, and eight IICs participated in the operation.

Officials uncovered a three-story building owned by Naik in Bhubaneswar’s Jharpada, another in Bhadrak’s Kumansh, and a two-story building in Bhadrak’s Gelpur.

The investigation revealed assets exceeding his known sources of income, prompting vigilance officials to initiate the operation earlier today.
