The Vigilance Department has conducted simultaneous raids on multiple properties linked to Tara Prasad Mishra, the former head of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department, as part of an investigation into alleged misappropriation of assets.
This morning, Vigilance officers executed raids across nine locations, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Jharsuguda. Notable properties searched included Mishra’s residences in Naapalli Apartments and Khadgiri Cosmopolis in Bhubaneswar, three flats in Asiana Apartments in Jharsuguda, his paternal home in Ashtgarh, and a relative’s house in Tigiya.

During the raid on Mishra’s Bhubaneswar apartment, authorities seized valuable items including red gold and diamond jewelry. The operation was led by a team of 12 inspectors, supported by 12 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 16 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other staff members. The Vigilance Department’s actions come in response to allegations that Mishra was involved in the illicit disposal of assets. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to uncover evidence related to the case.
