A Mumbai teenager’s dangerous stunt for social media fame ended in tragedy. Farhat Azmi Sheikh, from Antop Hill, attempted a perilous stunt from a moving local train at Sewri station, losing an arm and a leg. The video, recorded on March 7, went viral on July 14.
The video shows Farhat clinging to the window of a fast-moving train, trying to slide his feet on the platform. Unable to reboard the train, he desperately hung onto the door to save himself. After the video went viral, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) registered a case against him. When authorities reached his home, they found his severe injuries.
Farhat told the police that he lost his limbs in a previous stunt recorded for social media fame. After the incident, the railway administration rushed him to St. George’s Hospital. Central Railway PRO Swapnil Neela warned against such reckless behavior, urging the public to report dangerous stunts immediately at 9004410735 or 139. The Railways emphasized the importance of safety and discouraged stunts on trains or platforms.
