The winter session of Parliament begins today, with President Draupadi Murmu set to address the joint session of both houses. During yesterday’s all-party meeting, leaders discussed ensuring the session runs smoothly until December 20.
The opposition is pushing for debates on key issues, including Adani extortion allegations, the Waqf Bill, Manipur violence, air pollution, and recent rail accidents.
Meanwhile, the government plans to introduce over 15 significant bills during the session, including five new laws. Constitution Day will be celebrated on November 26, marking 75 years since the adoption of the Constitution.
