Hundreds of pilgrims and locals are stranded on the Kedarnath Dham trekking route due to adverse weather conditions, prompting a rescue operation led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Harshvardhan Suman.
DSP Suman, currently posted in Guptkashi, is overseeing the evacuation efforts, which include helicopter and manual rescues. In a viral video, she assures that stranded passengers are safe and provides helpline numbers (7579257572 and 01364-233387) for those unable to contact their families.
The 2019 batch DSP, previously posted in Rudraprayag, is receiving widespread praise for her efforts. The Uttarakhand Police website lists her designation as DYSP Vigilance Headquarters. Rescue operations are ongoing, with DSP Suman coordinating efforts to ensure the safe evacuation of all stranded individuals.
