An earthquake shook Jharkhand today, registering a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale.
The first tremor struck at around 9:20 a.m., and people in Ranchi and Jamshedpur felt the shock for about 5 seconds. The epicenter was located 13 km from Jharkhand’s Kharsawan district.
The earthquake prompted people to rush out of their homes in fear as surrounding areas of Ranchi and Jamshedpur also felt the tremors. Fortunately, there have been no reports of damage or casualties.
