Amaravati: A great shock to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed Chandrababu Naidu’s bail plea. The High Court on Monday dismissed a total of three petitions filed by the chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu seeking anticipatory bail in the Inner Ring Road, Fiber Net and Angallu 307 cases, reported Press Trust Of India (PTI).
However, N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party president and erstwhile Andhra Pradesh chief minister was arrested last month in a corruption case. He had earlier appealed to the Supreme Court for relief. Chandrababu first appealed to the High Court to quash the FIR filed against him in the corruption case. However, it was rejected by the High Court. So he approached the Supreme Court against it.
His bail plea in the skill development case has been turned down on the ground of deemed custody. In the Inner Ring Road case, the High Court turned down his anticipatory bail plea saying that the probe was in an early stage.
Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation was formed in 2014. The purpose was to train the youth. However, there are allegations of corruption of Rs 371 crore in this program. Chandrababu was the Chief Minister of Andhra from 2014 to 2019. Everything is said to have happened at his behest. For this, a case has been filed against him under sections 120B, 420 and 465 of the IPC. The CID has also imposed various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act on him.
