Maoist Dump Unearthed in Malkangiri Forest

During a search operation in the Bhejangwada forest, under Kalimela police station in Malkangiri district, authorities discovered a Maoist dump containing IEDs and other materials. The dump was located in the Dayalgunti rural forest of Telrai Panchayat within the Kalimela block.

The recovered items included over 17 items such as three tin bombs, a guillotine, electric wires, Naxal clothing, and Naxal literature. The Vejengwada Reserve Forest, known for being a Maoist stronghold, harbors numerous dumps where Maoists hide explosives and other materials.

The Border Security Force (BSF) has previously uncovered several Maoist dumps in the area. Maoists have used these locations to store explosives and materials and have targeted security personnel in the region. The investigation and recovery efforts continue.
