A disturbing incident unfolded in a Mumbai hospital when a 5-year-old child playing next to her mother, who was admitted for treatment, became the target of an abduction attempt. The police arrested 26-year-old Irfan Khan on charges of kidnapping.
While the victim’s mother received medical care, her daughter remained by her side. Irfan, who had connections through a relative undergoing treatment at the same hospital, had become familiar with the family.
On the day of the incident, a family member sat outside with the child when Irfan approached. He lured the girl away with promises of food. Shortly after, the child began to scream, prompting her family to intervene and rescue her.
Upon questioning, the child recounted the events, leading the family to file a written complaint at Bhoiwada police station. The police promptly launched an investigation and arrested Irfan Khan. Authorities are continuing to investigate the case further.
