Police raided a liquor factory operating under the guise of a “Doctor’s Clinic” in Muzaffarpur district, seizing a substantial amount of foreign liquor and production equipment.
While patrolling the Dumri-Ladaura road, officers spotted a large sign reading “Doctor’s Clinic.” Inside, they discovered a fully functional wine factory that produced foreign wines using imported spirits and equipment from various states. The illegal liquor was being sold in cities and distributed to rural wine merchants.
Authorities arrested liquor dealer Dheeraj Kumar during the raid and are interrogating him to uncover the network supplying the alcohol. Police have also launched a search for other liquor traders involved in the operation.
It’s important to note that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar imposed a ban on alcohol sales and consumption in 2016, yet such illegal activities continue to thrive without accountability for those involved.
