Tragedy struck when, 25-year-old Parshuram Kumar jumped into the Brahmani River from Bajiraut Bridge in Dhenkanal district’s Kirinpur village, leaving his father stunned.
Parshuram’s father revealed that they were cycling home yesterday evening when, without warning, Parshuram abruptly stopped, abandoned his bicycle, and plunged into the river.
Firefighters swiftly responded to the scene and launched a search operation, but darkness halted their efforts. Resuming today, police and firefighters are scouring the river to locate Parshuram.
