BJP Leader Kamal Dutt Demands Action Against Illegal Transport Amid Tensions with Police

BJP leader Kamal Dutt arrived at the police station with a crowd after the station in-charge misbehaved during a phone call. Dutt had called to request that the station in-charge stop illegal vehicles operating from Patta Mohalla. In response, the station in-charge stated that the responsibility for halting illegal vehicles lies with the RTO. This response understandably angered Dutt.

In protest, he headed to the police station and sat on a dharna. During the protest, Dutt asserted that double-decker illegal vehicles operate from Patta Mohalla in the Railway Road police station area, transporting large quantities of goods. He explained that these illegal vehicles evade GST regulations by using buses. Consequently, Dutt called Railway Road police station in-charge Anand Gautam to demand action against these vehicles.

However, the station in-charge insisted that stopping illegal vehicles falls under the RTO’s jurisdiction, leading to a heated exchange between the two. When Dutt informed Gautam that he was coming to the police station, Gautam simply replied, “Come.” Following this, Dutt arrived at the Railway Road police station with his supporters and began his protest.

Later, Ajay Gupta, president of the United Trade Union, also arrived at the police station. In light of the situation, Anand Gautam assured them he would investigate the illegal vehicles. Furthermore, Gautam claimed he did not misbehave, stating he only asked Dutt to come to the police station. After this interaction, Dutt and his supporters left the police station.

Meanwhile, illegal buses run rampant between Bhaisali bus stand and Ghaziabad. Recently, for example, an illegal bus struck a woman near Railway Road Chowk, which caught Kamal Dutt’s attention.
