An additional 12 days of annual leave will now be available to women government employees. A statutory notification has been issued by the Finance Department regarding additional leave for menstruation. All women government employees can take this extra menstrual leave of 12 days per annum till they attain the age of 55 years.

One day of menstrual leave in every month must be taken in that month. One month’s leave cannot be transferred to the next month, it has been clarified in the notification issued by the Finance Department.
