The Sri Siddhivinayak Ganpati Temple Trust (SSGT) strongly refuted these claims. Shiv Sena leader and Temple Trust President Sadh Sarbankar stated that the video is misleading and lacks credibility. He emphasized that the temple distributes lakhs of laddus daily and insisted that the location shown in the video is not part of the temple complex, calling it a deliberate attempt to damage the temple’s reputation.
The viral video shows baby mice in a torn packet of powder placed on a blue tray, leading to growing dissatisfaction among devotees. In response to the controversy surrounding the Siddhivinayak laddu, the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has ordered an inspection.
A senior FDA official confirmed that a food safety officer will visit the temple to conduct an audit. Meanwhile, the temple administration plans to request a police investigation into the viral video. The ongoing situation continues to generate unrest among the temple’s devotees.
