Allegations of serious errors have emerged during the Statistical Assistant examination that OSSC conducted today. Candidates claim that the authorities opened the question papers prematurely at the Gopal village examination center in Balasore, leading to leaks that went viral. One candidate who raised the complaint, Gauhari Sahu, stated that officials detained him, causing him to miss the examination.
The OSSC organized the Statistical Assistant Exam statewide, scheduling it from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. However, complaints surfaced from the Gopal village center, where candidates alleged that the authorities broke the question paper seal well before the exam began.
Gauhari Sahu reported, “While sitting in the exam hall, I noticed the question paper seal was already open.” He added, “The teacher who came to complain said the packet was like that. When we requested to check the CCTV, we saw that the seal was opened at 9:30 AM.”
He also mentioned that officials did not allow him to leave or contact the police to report the issue. Instead, they informed him that he missed the exam because they detained him in a room. “This is completely illegal. We suspect the questionnaire has gone viral,” he asserted.
In response, the college superintendent refuted these allegations, asserting that the authorities opened the question paper at the appropriate time. He claimed the questionnaire remained sealed and labeled the student’s accusations as false, stating he was neither detained nor denied entry to the examination.
