Today, he has recommended Atishi’s name as the next Chief Minister. Atishi Marlena is currently the Education Minister of Delhi. Apart from this, Finance, Tourism, Art and Culture Departments are also under his charge. While Kejriwal was in jail, he asked Atishi to hoist the flag in his place on Independence Day. So it became clear about recommending Kejriwal Atishi as the next Chief Minister.
Finally today, after the meeting of the MLA team, it was Atishi’s name that I rang. He is currently the Chief Minister of Delhi. Today Arvind Kejriwal will take oath as the Chief Minister after resigning after meeting the Governor.
However, according to sources, there will be no Deputy Chief Minister. Atishi will be sworn in as Chief Minister in the special session of the Legislative Assembly to be held on September 26-27.
However, Arvind Kejriwal was arrested in February in connection with the Delhi Unemployment Policy scam. He was granted bail by the Supreme Court on September 13. The next day, he addressed a gathering and announced his resignation. He said that he will not sit on the Chief Minister’s seat until the next election.
However, assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Delhi in November. Arvind Kejriwal will be the chief ministerial candidate in the election.
