The Commission for Judicial Inquiry has released a public notice concerning the Bharatpur police station case. This notification invites individuals with knowledge or insights about the incident to provide statements.
Justice Chittaranjan Das, the Chairman, is actively leading the investigation. All members of the public and media representatives who have direct or indirect information are encouraged to submit affidavits. Former police officers, lawyers, and concerned citizens can also share their feedback on preventing such incidents and enhancing the safety and security of women.
The Commission will accept statements until 21 days from today. The office will receive statements and comments from 10 AM to 4 PM. Additionally, it will be open from 11 AM to 4 PM on working days for receiving statements and opinions through Sattakh.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has ordered a judicial inquiry into the torture of an army officer and his constable at the Bharatpur police station. Following this incident, authorities have suspended five police officers, including IIC Dinkrishna Mishra, while the crime branch investigates further.
