The BMC raided food stalls in various Puja Pandal areas of Bhubaneswar today, destroying stale, discolored, and unsanitary food items.
The BMC team inspected the Bermunda Puja Mandap, including Ragulgarh and Naples, discarding a significant amount of spoiled food.
After receiving allegations of stale food sales at Meena Bazar in the Pujamandap area, the BMC conducted thorough inspections.
A BMC official emphasized that the inspections followed the administration’s instructions and highlighted the importance of providing quality food during the festivities. The team discovered numerous stalls serving spoiled and unsanitary food. The official warned that any vendors caught serving such food again would face penalties and fines.
