Udaipur city has experienced heavy rain for the last six days, leading to rising water levels in nearby catchment areas. This continuous downpour has caused all nearby dams to overflow, making them popular spots for tourists.
Key picnic spots like TD Dam near Udaipur, Shivalika Dam on the Udaipur-Pindwara Highway, and Bageri Naka in Rajsamand are seeing a surge in visitors. Many people are visiting these places on weekends for picnics, adding to their attraction.
Meteorologist Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore said that the heavy rains are due to a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, which is now moving towards Gujarat. Because of this, the rainfall in Udaipur is expected to decrease starting Friday. However, the monsoon is likely to become active again from September 3, bringing more rain to the Udaipur area.
