The Delhi government has taken decisive action to combat rising pollution levels by banning the production and sale of crackers. This initiative aims to improve air quality in the capital.
Despite this ban, crackers will still be shot in Delhi this year, but the government is intensifying its crackdown on daytime use. Authorities have prohibited the preparation, sale, and buying of crackersroot throughout the Delhi NCR, with these restrictions remaining in effect until January 1, 2025. The government is also targeting online sales of arrows.
