A devastating fire erupted late Tuesday night in a banquet hall under construction in Sector 74 of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Fire department vehicles promptly responded to the scene and began efforts to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire remains unclear, but it tragically resulted in the death of an electrician.
Reports indicate that the fire broke out at the Lotus Grenadier Banquet Hall, located under the jurisdiction of the Sector-113 police station. Fifteen fire department vehicles arrived one after another, as the flames spread rapidly due to the wooden structure of the banquet hall. Containing the fire took considerable time. The authorities identified the deceased as Parmindar, who worked as an electrician at the site. They believe he died from suffocation.
Noida DCP Rambadan Singh, along with officials from Gautam Buddha City, assessed the situation on-site. He stated that the wooden design of the banquet hall contributed to the swift spread of the fire. Although the cause remains undetermined, there are indications that a fire in a cylinder may have exacerbated the situation. Authorities are actively investigating all potential factors surrounding the incident, and they have sent the deceased’s body for a post-mortem examination.
