Diwali in Full Swing: Villages and Towns Abuzz with Festive Spirit

Today marks Diwali, the vibrant festival of lights, as villages and cities come alive in celebration. Colourful lights adorn every home, and with daylight comes a wave of joy, light, enthusiasm, happiness, and prosperity. Diwali symbolizes the triumph of justice over injustice, righteousness over iniquity, truth over falsehood, and light over darkness.

Today, villages and towns radiate festivity as people cheer all around. Light holds deep significance in Hindu tradition, symbolizing holiness against the darkness that embodies evil and negative energy. People celebrate by decorating their homes with lights to ward off negativity.

Light banishes darkness and negative forces, so homes glow with lights to dispel the shadows of the new moon.

Across the country, devotees gather to worship Goddess Kali, filling the day with rituals. In various places, people gather around mesmerizing Toran puja mandaps, draped like garlands of colourful lights.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended warm wishes to the people on Diwali, the festival of lights. He expressed hope that the light of wisdom and prosperity would dispel the darkness of ignorance and sorrow in everyone’s lives.
