Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Sinde resigns after Assembly elections. He submitted his resignation to Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai today. Alongside him, Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis were present.
Following the victory of Mahayuti—comprising BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP—in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, preparations are underway to form a new government. While the race for the Chief Minister’s post remains undecided, Devendra Fadnavis is emerging as the leading contender.
The Maharashtra Assembly’s tenure ends today, and with that, Sinde has stepped down from his position. The next Chief Minister’s appointment is expected soon.
