Farooq Abdullah Alleges Conspiracy Behind Recent Terrorist Attacks in J&K

In recent days, terrorist violence has surged in Jammu and Kashmir, with four attacks occurring in the last 24 hours. Reacting to this alarming situation, National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah expressed suspicion of a conspiracy behind the incidents. The former chief minister described the attacks as attempts to defame the new government in the state and called for an investigation.

While addressing the media about the recent terrorist attack on migrant workers in Budgam, Farooq Abdullah stated, “This should be investigated. All this is happening after the formation of the government here. I suspect that agencies trying to destabilize our government may be behind this. Why is this happening now when it had stopped before? These are all conspiracies against the state government. We should capture the attackers instead of killing them.” He demanded their arrest and urged authorities to investigate those responsible.

Following Abdullah’s allegations, NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar immediately offered his support. He remarked, “Farooq Abdullah is the most prominent figure in Jammu and Kashmir. He has dedicated his life to serving the people of the region. I have no doubts about his patriotism and honesty. If such a respected leader is making these statements, the central government, particularly the home ministry, should take them seriously and work to resolve the issue.”

In contrast, the BJP condemned Farooq Abdullah’s demand for an inquiry into terrorism. Jammu-Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina stated, “Farooq Abdullah knows that Pakistan and terrorist organizations are behind the attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Everyone is aware of this. What is there to investigate? We all need to unite and fight against it.” BJP leader Kavinder Gupta added that a responsible leader should refrain from making such statements.
