The controversy over Rahul Gandhi’s U.S. statement has reached the police. BJP leader Amarjeet Chhabra filed a complaint in Raipur, accusing Rahul of hurting Sikh religious sentiments. The Civil Lines police registered an FIR under Sections 299 and 302 (BNS 103) of the IPC.
In Delhi, BJP Sikh Cell convenor Charanjit Singh Lovely filed a complaint at Tilak Nagar police station. Delhi BJP leaders CL Meena and Mohanlal Gihara also lodged complaints over Rahul’s statement on reservations.
Madhya Pradesh BJP demanded action against Rahul for allegedly insulting PM Modi. State leaders Vishnudutt Sharma and Dr. Mahendra Singh filed a complaint at the Crime Branch in Bhopal.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said Rahul’s remarks angered Sikhs and Scheduled Caste-Tribe communities. Rahul’s U.S. comments about Sikhs’ safety and reservations have sparked multiple FIR requests, including one in Himachal Pradesh.
