In Kamalpadar village, Khallikot, Ganjam district, a gas cylinder burst early this morning, causing a fire that burned down a 10-room house shared by four families. The accident occurred at 4 a.m.
The explosion happened suddenly in a resident’s home, and the fire spread within seconds, reducing all belongings, including the entire 10-room home, to ashes.
Upon receiving the alert, fire brigade personnel promptly arrived and brought the blaze under control, with the fire reportedly contained at the time of writing. Villagers have requested support for the families now left homeless.
