In a surprising turn of events in Himachal Pradesh, the Chief Minister’s samosa and cake went missing, prompting the CID to launch an investigation as political tensions flare over the incident. The CID has classified the loss of the Chief Minister’s snacks as an anti-government act, sparking a political stir across the state.
On the 21st, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu visited the CID headquarters in Shimla, where he requested snacks, including samosas and cake, for breakfast. However, these items were handed over to his security personnel instead of directly to him. Following discussions about the disappearance of the snacks from his plate, the CID initiated an inquiry, suspecting foul play with anti-government motives.
It’s reported that the CID office of the Chief Minister in Bay Locker Bazar had ordered three boxes from a hotel, expected to be served to the Chief Minister. IG RA tasked a sub-inspector with overseeing the arrangement, who in turn delegated it to an ASI and a head constable. The officers collected the snacks from the hotel and handed them to a lady officer of Inspector RA. Upon delivery to the on-duty Tourism Department officials, they clarified that these snacks were not listed on the Chief Minister’s menu. Consequently, the snacks were then provided to the Chief Minister’s staff.
With the CID investigation underway, officials involved are suspected of actions contrary to the interests of the CID and the government.
Commenting on the incident, BJP Chief Spokesperson Randhir Sharma criticized the state government, stating it had ignored public welfare and now faces scrutiny over the Chief Minister’s missing snacks. While the investigation continues, Sharma expressed doubts, questioning the grounds for labelling it as an anti-government act.
