The Indian hockey team, which won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, will arrive in Bhubaneswar today at 12:30 PM. Upon their arrival at the Bhubaneswar airport, the team will be honored with a grand reception. The state government has organized extensive arrangements to celebrate their achievement.
A massive road show will escort the team from the airport to King’s Stadium. Later, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will officially welcome the players at the Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Centre.
In recognition of their success, the Chief Minister has announced a reward of Rs 15 lakh for each player and Rs 10 lakh for the support staff. Additionally, the state will award Rs 4 crores to hockey star Amit Rohidas. Following their victory, the Chief Minister personally congratulated the players and reiterated that Odisha sponsors the Indian hockey team.
