In Jammu and Kashmir, army fire killed two terrorists during a recent encounter. Tragically, a police head constable, Basir Ahmed, lost his life while engaging with the terrorists. An assistant sub-inspector and a deputy SP sustained injuries and received treatment in the hospital.
On Saturday, authorities received intelligence about terrorists hiding in a house in Kathar. Consequently, police and army forces launched a joint operation in Kog-Mandali village of Kathua district, leading to the clash.
Additionally, another encounter occurred in Kulgam district yesterday evening, resulting in the deaths of two more terrorists. However, the operation also left five security personnel, including an officer, injured.
