Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chief’s Wife Writes to Rahul Gandhi

Mushal Hussain Mallik, wife of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JFLF) chief and terrorist Yasin Mallik, has written a letter to the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. In the letter, Mushal requested to raise the issue in Parliament about her husband Yasin, who is in jail.

Mushal claimed that her husband could play an important role in maintaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir. In addition, she mentioned in the letter that her husband had been sentenced to death in a false case. In a letter written to Rahul Gandhi, Mushal, who has been an aide to Pakistan’s Prime Minister on human rights and women’s empowerment, drew attention to the 3-decade-old treason case against Malik.

A case against separatist leader and terrorist Yasin Mallik is going on in the Delhi High Court in the case of providing funds to terrorists. The agency also filed a chargesheet against several people, including Yasin, in 2017. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has demanded the death penalty in this case. In 2012, a lower court sentenced Yasin Mallick to life imprisonment.

Mushal wrote in his letter that Yasin has been on an indefinite hunger strike since November 2 to protest against the inhumane treatment in jails. CE has given up arms and followed the path of non-violence. This fast will affect Molly’s health more. Due to this, his life is also in danger.

In a letter written to Rahul Gandhi, Mushal accused the BJP government of harassing Yasin Mallik since 2019. Mallick has been acquitted in a 35-year-old case. A case is pending against him. Now the NIA is demanding the death penalty for him in the case filed against him. So I request you (Rahul Gandhi) to use your high moral and political influence in Parliament. Kushal mentioned in his letter that discussions on Yasin Mallik’s case would bring back real peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
