A major fire erupted in the Korba-Visakha Express at platform number 4 of Visakhapatnam railway station this morning. The blaze engulfed three AC coaches—B-6, B-7, and M-1—resulting in their complete destruction.
The incident occurred shortly after the train arrived from Korba and was preparing to depart for Tirupati. Smoke was first noticed emerging from coach B-7, which quickly spread to the adjacent coaches. The situation caused panic among passengers and a brief disruption at the station.
Emergency services responded swiftly; the fire brigade arrived on the scene and successfully extinguished the flames. Railway officials have confirmed that there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
