A new name has joined the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) most-wanted list: Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The NIA is actively seeking Anmol, offering a reward of Rs 10 lakh for his capture.
The agency is pursuing Anmol in connection with the shooting incident that occurred outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai. In April, this shooting incident involved Anmol, Lawrence Bishnoi, currently imprisoned in Sabarmati Central Jail, and Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar.
Recently, Navi Mumbai Police arrested five members of the Bishnoi gang—Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gauram Bhatia, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, Rizwan Khan alias Javed, and Deepak Hawa Singh alias Jan—concerning this case.
Additionally, Anmol Bishnoi’s name has surfaced in the murder investigation of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. On October 12, the 66-year-old NCP leader was shot outside his son MLA Zeeshan Siddique’s office. Despite heavy security, three assailants executed the killing in broad daylight. The police have apprehended some suspects and are on the hunt for others. Amidst this turmoil, the NIA has reiterated its Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to Anmol Bishnoi’s arrest.
