A passenger bus overturned after hitting a pedestrian on the road, leaving the man dead and injuring over 10 passengers. The accident occurred near Bant Thana Jagulaipada Street in Bhadrak District around 7:30 AM.
The private bus, Arupanand, was traveling from Bhadrak to Bant when it struck the pedestrian near Jagulaipada. After the collision, the bus veered off the road and overturned.
Locals rushed to the scene and rescued the passengers trapped inside the bus. They helped transport the injured to nearby hospitals. Some victims were admitted to Bant Hospital, while seven were taken to Bhadrak District General Hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses reported that the bus lost control due to speeding, leading to the tragic crash. The accident caused a temporary disruption of traffic in the area, which was later cleared.
