Today, on the occasion of Dhanwantari Jayanti and the ninth Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled various health projects across the country. He laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several health initiatives worth Rs.
These projects include three major initiatives in Odisha. The AYUSH Ministry laid the foundation for a Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy, along with a 100-bed hospital, at Khurda Binjhagiri.
Similarly, Ayushman Bharat launched a 50-bed critical care unit at Bargarh District General Hospital to serve residents over 70. With this unit, citizens aged 70 and above can now access free treatment worth up to Rs 5 lakh under the Ayushman Yojana. Additionally, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for East India’s largest drug testing center in Gothapatna, a suburb of Bhubaneswar.
