Singapore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Singapore after his trip to Brunei. He was warmly welcomed by Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. A special performance of Odisha classical dance and drumming was organized for his arrival, and PM Modi even joined in by playing the dhol.
On the second day, PM Modi received another warm welcome at the Singapore Parliament, where several important agreements were signed between India and Singapore. The two countries reached deals on semiconductors, digital technology, health, and skill development.
A key agreement was the India-Singapore Semiconductor Ecosystem Partnership, which will focus on developing semiconductor clusters and supporting design and manufacturing efforts.
PM Modi was accompanied by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and senior officials. These agreements are expected to strengthen ties between India and Singapore in various fields.
