Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive public gathering in Chimur, Maharashtra, on Tuesday, where he criticized the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), calling them the “biggest players in corruption.” Moreover, Modi accused the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and Sharad Pawar’s party of blocking Maharashtra’s progress. He argued that the MVA has “perfected the art” of delaying and derailing development projects.
In particular, speaking in Chimur, Chandrapur, PM Modi said the MVA’s only expertise lies in obstructing projects, noting that “stalling, delaying, and derailing” define their approach. Additionally, Modi targeted the Congress, accusing them of holding a “double PhD” in halting development. He emphasized, “For two and a half years, they have blocked every significant development project.” He went on to say that “these parties are leading experts in corruption.”

At this point, PM Modi asked the audience in Chimur if they would allow the MVA to continue hindering the city’s progress. “Will you give them a license to loot again?” he asked. Then he questioned, “Will you let them plunder and fill their coffers? Will you allow them to block Maharashtra’s development?” He further emphasized that Chandrapur’s people know firsthand how MVA parties obstruct progress.
Furthermore, taking another dig at the opposition alliance, Modi highlighted how residents have long demanded rail connectivity, yet Congress and the MVA “never let it happen.”
Looking ahead, Modi assured that the BJP’s manifesto would become Maharashtra’s “development guarantee” over the next five years. He stated, “An NDA government at the centre, combined with the grand alliance, means double-engine growth for Maharashtra,” and pledged accelerated development. Lastly, PM Modi praised the Maharashtra BJP’s manifesto, calling it “outstanding,” with several ambitious goals for empowering women, supporting farmers, and providing new opportunities for the youth of Maharashtra and the nation.
