Locals brutally beat a police officer in a market in Banaras after his car slightly collided with an auto. The angry crowd wasted no time attacking him.
The officer’s wife and children were also inside the car during the incident. A video surfaced showing people beating the officer on the road while he panicked.
The officer, identified as Ajit Burma, serves as the Station Head Officer (SHO) at Silver Labs. He wasn’t in uniform when the incident occurred. In the evening, a dispute arose over which direction to take while driving with his family. His car collided slightly with an auto near a market in Banaras. The crowd dragged him from the car and began beating him mercilessly. Despite his efforts to defend himself and convince the attackers, no one listened.
Another police officer arrived at the scene and rescued him. The police have filed a case from both sides and initiated an investigation.
